Availability

When a product is placed in your shopping basket, the screen will refresh and details of stock availability will be displayed beneath the product title information:

  • In stock: 1 - 2 days
    - This title will be dispatched within 2 working days.
  • Black and white copy: 1 - 3 days
    - A copy of this title will be printed in black and white by TSO upon your request. The binding method will vary from publication to publication. This title is usually dispatched within 1-3 working days.
  • Available to order
    - An order may be placed for this title - it will be dispatched when stock becomes available.
  • Available immediately
    - This is an electronic product available to download immediately from a link provided on your order confirmation screen.
  • Not yet published: available to order
    - This product is not yet published. However, you can place an advance order for this product which will be dispatched as soon as it is published. Please note that publication dates given are estimates only and may change without notice.
  • Not yet published: notification of publication available
    - This product is not yet published and an advance order cannot be placed. However, you can request to be notified by e-mail as soon as it is published. Please note that any publication dates given are estimates only and may change without notice.
  • Out of Print: but may be available to order
    - This product is out of print but may be available to order as a black and white photocopy of the publication. Price and availability can be confirmed by our photocopy department - email photocopy@tso.co.uk
  • Not available to order
    - This product is not available to order online. Please contact our dedicated customer services department e-mail esupport@tso.co.uk.

Delivery options

You can now choose from a range of special delivery options, which means that wherever you are you can get the publications you want when you need them.

i. UK Customers

Customers in the UK can choose from:

  • Standard delivery (surface mail) - Publications in stock are dispatched within 24 hours and normally delivered within 2 to 3 working days.

Please note: Speedmail courier service is used to deliver next day to addresses within the M25. A signature is required upon delivery.

Postcode areas affected are: BR1-8, CR0-9, E1-18, EC1-4, KT1-24, N1-22, NW1-11, SE1-28, SM1-7, SW1-20, TW1-20, W1-14, WC1-2.

  • Fast service (guaranteed dispatch) - Publications in stock are delivered between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the 3rd working day.
  • Datapost 1pm (guaranteed dispatch) - Publications in stock are delivered before 1pm on the 3rd working day.
  • Datapost 10 a.m. (guaranteed dispatch) - Publications in stock are delivered before 10 a.m. on the 3rd working day.

ii. Customers within the EC

Customers within the EC can choose from:

  • Standard delivery (accelerated surface mail) - Publications in stock, up to 5kg in weight, are normally delivered within 7 to 14 working days. Publications in stock, over 5kg in weight, are normally delivered within 2 to 6 weeks.
  • Airmail EC - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 7 to 10 working days.
  • Datapost International - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 1 to 6 working days, with 1 day delivery for major cities.
  • UPS - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 3 to 4 working days from invoice. (Please note: some countries may introduce local import taxes for which TSO has no responsibility)

iii. European customers outside the EC

European customers outside the EC can choose from:

  • Standard delivery (accelerated surface mail) - Publications in stock, up to 5kg in weight, are normally delivered within 7 to 14 working days. Publications in stock, over 5kg in weight, are normally delivered within 2 to 6 weeks.
  • Airmail Non-EC - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 7 to 10 working days.
  • Datapost International - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 1 to 6 working days, with 1 day delivery for major cities.
  • UPS - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 3 to 4 working days from invoice.

iv. Overseas Customers (Rest of the World)

Overseas customer from the Rest of the World can choose from:

  • Standard delivery (surface mail) - Publications in stock, up to 5kg in weight, are normally delivered within 2 to 6 weeks. Publications in stock, over 5kg in weight, can take over 12 weeks.
  • Airmail Rest of the World - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 10 to 14 working days.
  • Datapost International - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 1 to 6 working days, with 1 day delivery for major cities.
  • UPS - Publications in stock are normally delivered within 3 to 4 working days from invoice. (Please note: some countries may introduce local import taxes for which TSO has no responsibility)

Please note that the total delivery time is equal to the sum of availability of the title and dispatch time, e.g. if availability is 2 to 3 days and dispatch time 1 day, the total delivery time will be 3 to 4 days.

Delivery charges

All orders delivered by surface mail will be subject to a delivery charge of £3.75 For items subject to VAT, for example software orders within the EU, VAT will also be applied to the delivery charge.

For orders dispatched by a special delivery option the delivery charge will be calculated according to the weight of the order. For further information on these delivery charges see special delivery options above.

When an order comprises of multi-publications and not all publications are currently in stock, TSO will split the order and dispatch those parts of the order which can currently be fulfilled. The remaining parts will be dispatched as and when the publications come into stock. In such circumstances TSO will only make one charge for delivery, either & £3.75* for orders dispatched by surface mail or the relevant special delivery charge.

Cancellations

In the event you wish to cancel an order that you have received you may do so by contacting Esupport on +44 (0)870 242 2345.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 consumers (non-business customers) have the right to cancel and return any order placed, within seven days of receiving the goods. In the case of audio or video recordings, or computer software the goods must be returned still sealed. If the seal is broken we will be unable to cancel an order which has already been entered into our order processing system.

TSO's acknowledgement must be sought before any goods are returned for credit, e-mail esupport@tso.co.uk.

Returns Policy

Goods received damaged, either before or on delivery, will be replaced at no extra cost if notification is received by TSO, in writing or by telephone, within five days of their receipt.

All goods lost in transit will also be replaced at no extra cost if notification is received by TSO, by telephone or writing, within 21 days of the date the original order was received by TSO or the date of publication of the goods, whichever shall be later.
